Wagdie Shorts V2

WAGDIE SHORTS [PILOT] series will conclude next week. This Proposal seeks to continue the series past the original 8 PILOT episodes and expand on the setting, world & stories.

Hello Everyone, I hope you have enjoyed the [PILOT] series so far! As we release episode 7 this week, next week will be the finale.

During the first 8 episodes, i felt like some things went great; while others could use some impovement.

I come to you with the proposal to continue, change, and expand, on the series & workflow.

The V2 series will feature longer episodes, around 3 minutes, with each episode releasing every 2 weeks.

V2 seeks to improve on the [PILOT] series by :

  • IMPROVING STORYTELLING : Build tension / comedic timing & setting with much more time for B-REEL and jokes in and outside WAGDIE holders. (longer episodes/ more time for editing helps)

  • Actual LORE & EVENTS from the Story of WAGDIE that creates a body of work, from start to finish, that is cohesive for outsiders to learn about our story.

  • IMPROVING 3D ASSETS : With more time i am able to deliver more accurate 3D assets and locations, i personally believe this could be super valuable for future project community projects.

MARKETING : Each EPISODE , will be sliced into scenes under 1 minute to use for TIKTOK/ youtube shorts, with a more meme-focused context. (also to be used as GIFS). We will also focus on targeting larger communities outside of the world of wagdie. (THINK : LOWPOLY MEMES, FANTASY, HOUSE OF THE DRAGON, CRYPTO. )

Production of the videos will require 0.2 ETH investment per video. Paid on delivery of each final cut.

With a runway of 10 videos, this will require 2 eth from The Conclave.
This will be paid out over the course of 20 weeks.

The first video will be released on 15 september.

Funds will be held by gnosis safe 0x33f822E8D1C5a37b75A3687C1Ad7eBC0fe316505 and be co-signed by @kingoffling and @atriox (bussin) at each release.

Nice work on this detailed proposal Bussin and congrats as you approach the final steps of your first proposal! I wanna call out your discipline and work ethic; you executed on the timeline and standards you proposed and that deserves all the recognition and commendation.

Holistically, I’m a bit split: the goal of producing entertaining storytelling for our little community is spot-on; the goal of increasing exposure and mass audience interest in WAGDIE is much spottier and I think those different outcomes carry different financial ask merits.

Let’s see what the rest of the community thinks. Trying 5 videos with this new approach and seeing if the metrics significantly improve, instead of with the proposed 10, sounds like a tenable next step to me. Not sure whether you’re open to that.

I haven’t been active lately, and have not had much exposure to the videos, but I have kind of seen the events on the TL and I think it keeps our community going outside of canon lore. I will try to check the videos out, but im in favor of community events to garnish engagement.
